ROCKCHOPSTROP- Handmade bench stone size leather strop.
The Kangaroo leather is set onto a block of chamfered Eucalyptus Grandis Hardwood.
I have been using one for a while before deciding to make some for you.
I find the thin, firm and almost flawless surface gives me tremendous feedback. The rolled edges eliminate cutting into your finely tuned edge.
I have had zero over shoot using these meaning I have never burnished my polished core steel.
This should be used as your final stone at the same angle as your previous progression. The bench stone design will insure you don’t go waving it in the air like a paddle whilst trying to guess your angle.
Kangaroo Leather Strop
I haven’t used mine with any compound. I like the feedback and bite as it is.
I use it for finer debur and edge realignment and not for “workshop quick strop” tasks.
It’s very smooth and once you’ve tuned in to that feeling it’s hard to go back.
