Taylor Forged Sujihiki - Kiri Box Forged Isles Collection
Forged Isles is a small collection of knives made by smiths working across the UK and Ireland.
It recognises what’s happening on our own soil — different regions, different hands, different approaches to steel, all rooted in real craft. These aren’t factory pieces dressed up as handmade, but blades forged by individuals with clear intent.
There’s a responsibility in that for me — to support makers from my own homeland and present their work honestly.
Part of the Forged Isles collection, this blade was hand forged in Yorkshire by Taylor of Taylor Forged Knives (@taylorforgedknives).
At 250 × 31 mm with a distal taper from 4 mm at the heel to 1 mm near the tip, it’s built for controlled, precise slicing. The wolfram core takes a crisp, responsive edge, clad in wrought iron with the forged texture left intact along the spine.
The bevel has been stone-finished to bring clarity to the steel while preserving the maker’s geometry.
